Plots

We use plot to denote a visualization which spatially maps data points using coordinate axes. Examples of plots run from the familiar x-y variety:

to Gantt charts, which plot resource utilization on axes of processor number and time.

A plot is often synonymously called a graph. To avoid ambiguity, we use graph exclusively to denote a diagram containing nodes, edges and labels.
